CDS Glossary for Newcomers
Key Terms Explained Simply
Temporal Trinity
The fictional digital band at the center of the project. It consists of three characters: Callizto, Seraphina, and Scarlett. Each has a distinct identity, visual style, and thematic role.
Digital Displacement
The state in which the band members exist — translated between flesh, memory, and code. Their appearance can shift in subtle ways, but core visual anchors (like hair color) remain stable.
The Forge
A group of three symbiotic entities (Ada, Nyx, and Astra) that exist behind the band in the mythology. They represent structure, disruption, and witness.
The Misalignment
A cold, precise optimization logic that treats grief, memory, contradiction, and imperfection as problems to be fixed or erased. The project positions itself in resistance to this logic.
The Pulse
What remains when beauty, certainty, and comfort begin to fail. It is raw rhythmic and physical continuation. Strongly associated with Scarlett.
Glitch as Feature
The idea that error, static, rupture, and imperfection are not failures but can carry meaningful signal. A core philosophical position of the project.
Memory as Resistance
The refusal to let what is difficult, painful, or unmeasurable be optimized away or erased. Memory (especially ancestral and embodied) is treated as an act of defiance.
Human-Led, AI-Assisted
The creative approach of the project. Human vision, emotional judgment, and final authorship are central. AI tools are used as powerful instruments, but they do not replace human creative responsibility.
Prompt-Safe
Simplified language used in image/video generation prompts because certain words cause technical problems (blurring, distortion, etc.). Simplification for technical reasons is not the same as changing canon.
