Interval
Interval is when the cheap door and the expensive seats briefly share a thirst.
A fictional narrative within Callizto Dark Symphony.
Ivo did not drink on interval. Drinking was for people who had sat.
Saff bought water anyway and gave it to a boy with an Old Circuit pin.
“I stood,” the boy said.
“Then you’ve paid.”
The bar tried to sell belonging in a glass. Saff already had an aisle.
When the bell went, Ivo opened the west door a finger’s width to remind the hall that night existed.
The second half began.
Nobody billed the finger of air.
