The Letter That Couldn’t Be Attached
A trader in Old Circuit tries to appeal a fee using an original paper receipt. The problem is not that the authority doubts the document. The problem is that the portal has no option for a document that exists only in your hand.
An in-world document. Its claims retain their fictional perspective and may be incomplete or contradictory.
You have asked me to attach the original.
The original is paper.
Your portal accepts an image, a verified data copy, or a registered document link.
If I photograph the original, it is no longer the original.
If I register the document, I create a verified copy.
If I send the paper physically, your instructions state that physical originals must not be sent without prior request.
This letter is therefore my request that you request the document you have already requested.
